Clutch/gearbox engagement issue - 1974 Triumph TR6
Has anyone any idea how I may overcome - recently I had difficulty engaging reverse gear without the gear grating.
I decided to replace the clutch slave cylinder complete with activating fork system fully bled. I also changed the gearbox oil incl of overdrive. My first test in the garage (engine cold) appeared to operate correctly in all gears especially reverse. Although when the engine had warmed up the reverse gear grating returned
Just arrived home from 2 weeks in Spain and my littlun just gave me the best Fathers Day gift ever
He's mounted the manifold of our 1969 mk3 Spitfire that split in half at the entrance to Tetre Rouge on arrival for the 2012 CLM
The car has gone to pastures new unfortunately but this is a great memento of some great trips we had in the old girl to Le Mans
Thanks Little Ross
Love you, son!

Hi
I have had a major headache with my newly finished Stag project, the new master brake cylinder I purchased from a reputable manufacturer failed after 900 miles in less than a year.
The master brake fluid reservoir is split into two compartments, both were nearly empty of silicone brake fluid which indicated that the master cylinder was at fault. A quick check on the bulkhead under the servo unit confirmed that the master brake unit had indeed failed.
I contacted the supplier that I

I thought I’d write a few more lines about what has been going on lately. I started writing this at Easter, but am now revisiting this in August! Over the Jubilee season, I felt that the car had been lurking in the drive for long enough and I needed to get it solid enough for a summer MOT and maybe return to the detailed bodywork and painting and later.
This summer, I’ve been re-fitting the seats and some interior trim. It’s amazing how that made the project look like it was prog

Rain again! Got very wet changing the oil this week, so gave up working in the drive earlier this week and put finger to keyboard...
More progress over the last few months and it's looking like there's a good chance that we may make it Stafford in a Triumph.
My last big hurdle was to get the passenger door repaired. The bottom of the doorskin looked like it had been previoulsy repaired, but there were now many holes in the bottom of the door frame as well. It seemed as if the sploo
Here's an attempt to re-create a thread I wrote on the old TSSC forum, concerning the (ongoing) restoration of my Herald. This seems the best place to put it now...
The story starts with with my 1966 12/50 Convertible, which I bought as a second car in 1998. Maybe I should have steered away from a non-standard build, but I didn’t realise that no such model existed. It did have a proper convertible rear tub and was in better condition than the other genuine 1200 convertible I was looking to
I have a Triumph Spitfire iv that's needs the final stages of the restoration project completed but struggling to find anyone with suitable knowledge of Triumphs! If you know of a company that might be willing to finish of this project ideally based in the South West that would be great
A Friend of mine was looking for a GT6 and found one I a garden in Kent. He was told by the owner that the car was complete and that he had owned it from new. I was told that it has been neglected for some time as the owner has not been in able to use or maintain it and It looked as though it needed a major restoration. I do not know the year or mark.
Anyone interested in saving this vehicle please contact John Rowe 07803 238657 .
I live near Scarborough North Yorkshire and popped to see a farmer who id heard had a Spitfire sitting in a barn for 20 years. However mine is a 1500 and his is a 1968 3. So no use to me. Total renovation project. Chassis and engine (done only 20 miles since a refurb) in one barn covered in bird crap and body parts in another. Floor pan gone, one sill gone. Hard top there. Wants only £300 for it all. If i had space would take it on. Anyone out there interested contact me on 07812338284 and i wi
