  1. At the TR International held in Lincoln there were two TSSC stands - one for the wider club and one for the local area. The local area was made very welcome... I hear it will be returning to Lincoln again...
  2. There's a small and friendly group of Lincolnshire TSSC Members. Have a look at LincolnshireTriumphs on Facebook or http://www.lincolnshiretriumphs.co.uk We meet monthly in Lincoln, details via www.lincstssc.co.uk We also attend quite a lot of shows which are detailed on our facebook page. Lots of help available...
  3. Just a quick reminder of the event and to ask that you get your booking forms in ASAP please! Thanks, Simon & Carl (TSSC Lincs AOs)
  4. The TSSC have a club stand at STMD.
  5. Got magnatronic on my 2000 - works fine!
  6. Booking now available for the TSSC Lincs Area Camping Weekend... http://www.lincolnshiretriumphs.co.uk/index.php/camping-weekend/ https://www.facebook.com/events/495240527315413/ 2016BookingForm.pdf
  7. My only advice is to get a Sprint engine one, if possible. They go so much better! The wife had a 2.0 DHC and she loved it. Steering can be heavy but is fixed by roller bearings and an anti-dive kit helps. RobSport and S&S Preparations have everything you need and will offer endless good advice. Fitchetts still have some NOS DHC body shells! Mechanically they're fine. Electrics are a nightmare if not working - these were amongst the first with electronics. Rust in the front turrets and rear suspension is the killer.
  8. Kids Strut Classics & Performance Car Show 2015 Date: Sunday 26th July 2015 There's over 100 cars booked in so far - so please do join in! Anyone wanting to be on the Lincolnshire Triumphs stand (with the Lincs TSSC Area) will need to arrive at 11am via Mere Road - it will be signposted from the crossroads on the A607. Anyone arriving after 12 will be positioned where there is space. Entertainment starts at 12:30, the BBMF flypast is at 13:00 and the first band will be on immediately after. The show closes at 17:00. As well as the car display and traders there will be food and drink available on site as well as kids rides, a craft fair, live music etc so it should be a good family day out. Please see the attached flyer.

  10. I've just double-checked and the Lincolnshire website is linked from the TSSC website: http://www.tssc.org.uk/tssc/areas_final.asp?area_ID=15&area=Midland,%20Lincolnshire
  11. Steve - I notice you are in Newark (I'm in Collingham - and I am the AO for Lincolnshire Area). For us, we're at www.lincstssc.co.uk but also at www.facebook.com/lincolnhsiretriumphs. We meet 1st Weds of the month at The Swan Holme on Doddington Road in Lincoln from 8pm. Events are posted on Facebook mostly but also tweeted via @LincsTriumphs. We're a very small but friendly group. The other local meeting to you is the Notts Area. This is a really popular group and get a lot of cars and people attend (unlike us!). They meet at the Nags Head in Woodborough on the 2nd Monday of the month. Adrian and Nigel - the AOs - are very friendly and I can guarantee you'll be welcomed. http://www.tssc.org.uk/tssc/areas_final.asp?area_ID=17&area=Midland,%20Notts. Local regular events which are worth attending are the Langrick Cafe Meetings near Boston, Horsepower at the Hall (Doddington Hall) and Last Thursday of the Month classic meet at Woodcocks, Burton Waters. All should be visible via the Lincolnshire Triumphs webpage and twitter. Boston and Stamford classic car shows, plus Thoresby Park are well attended. Hope that helps!

  14. The DVLA V888 form is a good way to get all the history including engine changes and colour changes too. http://www.gov.uk/government/publications/v888-request-by-an-individual-for-information-about-a-vehicle £5, and takes a few weeks. Just note of the form that you are the new owner of a historic vehicle interested in it's history.
