  1. I seem to remember the manual saying that the band should be removed after installation but I'm sure someone will have a definite answer.
  2. I have also had an issue with a collapsed hose twice in the past, once on an A35 and once on my Dolomite. The collapse in the hose acted as a one way valve so that when the brakes were applied one wheel (or both the back ones with the Dolomite) would bind on. The next day they were free again. In both situations I assumed a sticking cylinder or caliper but both times it was a rubber hose :-)
  3. Cheers All, Here is a picture of my current set up.
  4. Ok then it looks like I may replace the twin with a single system. I was looking at some other threads and someone mentioned that the semi sport system was nearly as loud as the twins? Is this true as I do not want to spend my money and be disappointed. Will there be much of a change in drivability if I went for the standard system?
  5. Cheer all, It is so annoying that they sound great on short journeys but ruin my hearing on long journeys. I will see if I can get a centre box and if not it looks like a new system and loose the twin pipes...... boo :-(
  6. I have a Vitesse Mk2 convertible which is great in all respects apart from the exhaust system. It sounds lovely around town but on a long run at about 2500-3000 rpm the noise is unbearable so much so that I have to wear ear plugs otherwise after about 1 hours I get a ringing in my ear and can't hear properly. This kind of takes the pleasure out of the trip :-( Anyway... the current set up is a 'wheel barrow' stainless system with two boxes at the back. I do not know who it was made by. I was thinking of going to a custom exhaust place to see if they could make up a very narrow centre box (anti-drone) but it probably wont be cheap so I was wondering what other people could suggest? On the TSSC shop I see that they sell a 'standard' stainless system but does anyone have one to say what it like? Also is would be a shame to loose the twin exhausts. Any advice gratefully received! Cheers Jim
