Hi Robin, I would leave well alone if you have a rolling road booked you will just be guessing even if you use minty lambs excellent charts. If you ring Burlins technical department they will advise on everything except needle selection, it is only on a rolling road that final selection can be made. I would expect Hs6s to be less economic the CD150 as they have a 1/4 inch larger choke, indeed they are fitted to increase fuel flow hence lower MPG. So if the car will get to the road leave it alone! Mick

Hi, Clive and Pete, Thanks for the suggestions both partial answers to the problem. The fundamental problem though is that the forum needs resetting so that newest posts are shown first as in Club Triumph and TR Register the problem will only get worse as the forum ages and becomes more popular, Maybe this will discourage people from using the site. Any news on getting the forum to show latest item first? It's anoying having to scroll through to see the latest posts. Mick

Phil, Here goes with photos(maybe) I only have an IPhone for photos.The open length of the ram is 70cm expect to closed to be half but can't measure it. The top mount on the wheel arch. Lower mount Ram in position

Phil, The distance from the cylinder head to the outside of the air filter is 28.8 cm and the strut protrudes 2cm from the wheel arch. The ram strut fixes to the two holes in the middle of the lower wheel arch.If you need photos any more measurements let me know. Mick

Phil, No problem with the measurements what measurements do you want for the struts? Mick

Phil I have a GT6 mk3 with HS6s and K&Ns and the gas strut fouls the front filter not massively by enough to score the front of the filter. I can measure the width of the filter from the head if you want. Mick

No there is enough give in the pencil to take up the slack. I think I might have overdone reducing the size of the photo! Mick

Frank, What you need to do is make a small adaptor out of brass to bridge the gap. I will try to attach a picture. Mick
