I have acquired a very nice boot lid for a Herald/Vitesse if anybody has use for one or knows of anybody that does, its FOC first come first served. Neighbour having a clear out and I saved it from going for scrap. Would be collection only from HP22 4LG, (Aylesbury area) far to big to go in a jiffy bag. If anybody interested could you respond here please to stop a queue, and then contact me via PM to arrange collection. Hm I suspect DVLA is showing colour as Maroon as that was the colour JHM left the factory as, when I first owned him he had been sprayed saffron, I suspect by one of those 'spray your car for £100' companies that sprung up in the late 70's. I stripped and rebuilt the car in about 1981 and resprayed him Signal red. I never did get round to changing the colour on the Log book before I sold him. I did see a post on another web site ,http://regarchive.com/plate/JHM4 which states ' Added by chair leg of Middlesex triumph 13/60 originally red, resprayed yellow,Posted at 8.19pm Wed August 20th 2014' but thats as far as my detective work has got.
