    Hi Robin
I  might not be reading this correctly but you do not use seals with 'bubbles' on the small chassis Triumphs.
The seal should be more like a crooked finger.
Many on here will tell you to get them from but IIRC it is COH Baines.
The bubble seal will not allow the door to close correctly and could be the source of your problem.

I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

    Yes should be DX73

It very much depends what you are filling.

If a deep dent, shallow scratches etc.

As a general purpose filler, I have used "uPol Fantastic" but for very fine marks I use an acrylic 1k stopper.

Hi Clive , it’s general purpose use so thanks . I already use Upol Dolphin 1k stopper

going by my vitesse that looks like triumph white. old english  more creamer . having sprayed at least 20 cars with cellulose over the past 10 years i can say all makes differ in finnish and application , have just used some from a company called craftmaster paints on ebay must say very impressed  good finish easy to spray paul

Thanks @foshi @NonMember just requested a colour chart from Craftmaster

I’m using HB Body 989 2k Epoxy Primer then on to cellulose Valencia Blue 66. I’ve only sprayed the sills so far though worked fine . Should I be using cellulose primer on top of   the Epoxy then top coat ?

  4. You shouldn’t need to remove the dash . I traced each wire tidying up as I went . I added a common earth link under the dash and this fixed the panel lights . The horn which didn’t work was the hardest to fix and that was a faulty earth .I did add a new  blade fuse box at the same time so the colour coding was familiar at the time . The ignition wiring can be checked by pulling the ignition into the cabin . Then with cable ties the wiring can be neatly tucked away

nb disconnect the battery when playing with the wiring

sunroof back in only problem think during its 40 year storage it has shrunk a bit. was around 10mm from closing left in the sun 2hours managed to close it help of grips just hoping might stretch back ? hope so really nice condition and sits well on the roof no gaps .only part not happy with is the close open handle looks very fragile anyone know if you can buy replacements, paul

Need a pic to advise plus a pic of the roof fittings . Is it all one piece or 4 sections as you might be able to bring the roof forward . The sun will certainly stretch so leave as long as possible
