Bear in mind , most are run by more mature people who prefer phones. Fitchetts being a prime example

This can't be used as an excuse in 2024.

    The internet is not new.

If my almost 80 year old mum can use the internet, a business owner should be able to.

No excuse in this day and age.

Poor customer service equals no return custom.

I've dropped things off at Fitcheetts, behind the counter were not old people!!!!!

1 is definitely 13/60, the other was said to be a 1300 Spit, engine and O/D gearbox. retero fitted some years ago.

Currently playing silly beggers, starts and runs then cuts out, pump is providing fuel, pumped about 1/2 litre into a can before lunch, decent spark too. Ran fine yesterday, hence my asking how much fuel is below the pickup?. As the tank has been out recently and only just on a gallon went back it. Might get another gallon just to check?.

    Definitely 13/60, here's a pic of mine

I think the definition of Classic car is definitely changing, when I see a Tesla at one I will give up.

When the TSSC was set up in 1977, the oldest Herald was less than twenty years old.

I always thought twenty years was the definition of a classic car originally.

Is it just with age that twenty years doesn't seem that old?

  4. I had a dog poo brown 1300 Dolly about 10+ years ago as my daily. Drove it to Solihull plant for a year and during that time they introduced a nice brown colour. Always hoped it was because someone had seen my Dolly in the car park 😁

It was a nice car to drive and do regret selling

  7. Ford were always good a product placement. In the Sweeney they had a clause that said no Ford to be driven by criminals, therefore the Jags were the baddies. It changed after 1989 though.

Look at the latest James Bond films and Ford and it's then product line were all over them. Even a new Mondeo before they were released.

  8. Boron is only used in small parts of the body, i.e. door strengthening and dash strengthening. All other panels are normal steel or aluminium. It is a b'stard to weld or rivet tho, but not used in the majority of panels in the body.
