  1. Hi, that is exactly the type of thing that I'm looking for as my first restoration project (at 16). I will certainly check this one out :-)
  2. Hi guys, I came across this ad on Ebay for a 72 Spitfire however I don't think its worth the price hes asking for it. How much do you think its worth? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1972-Triumph-Spitfire-Mk4-/191841992780?hash=item2caaac804c:g:tPwAAOSwiylXApNq Thanks
  3. Hi, thanks for the reply. The car is mostly complete however I haven't stood in front of the car so I cant tell what behind the body filler on the car.
  4. Hi Clive, thanks for the reply. I haven't asked anyone from the club yet but I will keep that in mind. However, being 16 and still in full time education £1000 is out of my price bracket but there is a 78 car that needs more work and its offers only so I'm interested in that one as well.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm interested in buying a 1972 Spitfire project that has recently been advertised for sale. The body and chassis are structurally sound and requires little prep for paint. The 1300 engine runs however slightly lumpy. I spoke to the guy and he says hes had offers of £1000 but I don't think its worth that much. Ive got a couple of photos to see what your opinions are about the car and also how much you'd pay for it. I would appreciate all of you views on this car. Many Thanks, Conor :-)
  6. Hi Kevin, I know what you mean about what I can get with my budget but within the next month it will be increasing to around £1000 so hopefully that'll help. Also I do see project spitfires come on to Ebay quite frequently however they are just to far away from where I live for example, there is a 72 car within my current budget but its all the way up in Glasgow and I just cant afford to get it home.
  7. Hi everyone, I am currently in the process of looking to buy a 1971-1977 Triumph Spitfire restoration project that is somewhere in the Midlands (UK). The only issue is that my budget is only £600 as I'm 16 and still in full time education until September. So if anybody knows where there could be a 71-77 Spitfire restoration project for sale, that's doesn't require too much welding, in the Midlands let me know because I might be interested. Best wishes, Conor :-)
