Get Bern to measure those on the Courier Van @ Club HQ which are exactly 45mm long with a flat washer on each end so I think we can consider this thread closed thanks.

OK it has to clear a 5/16 inch bolt I believe so some 8mm I/D, 12mm O/D stainless steel tube from eBay is probably a good place to start. Anyone like to measure their's to give me a length please?

Hi Finally coming to the end of my Herald 1200 rebuild but I need a couple of over-rider to grill spacer tubes (Stanpart 608098). The usual suspects don't seems to be listing these so can someone either point me in the right direction or provide a spec (length, insides and outside diameters) so that I can turn a pair? Sorry if anyone get offended for cross posting but I would like some guidance if possible: I have a 1970 Herald 1200 which I am in the process of rebuilding and I have a query about the sidelights or more specifically the sidelight lens. I have a two varieties sitting in the garage, some with a peaked lens and some with a smooth curved lens. I think it was the curved ones which I took off the car when I was stripping it but the question is which type is right for the car? If there was a change from peaked to curved (I presume it went that way and not vice versa?) does anyone know when it happened? Many thanks Jim

Yes but... I'd prefer to get it fitted before I build the rest of the car up with the seat etc. in place to determine that. Anyone do me a photo or measurements of their's?

Pete There may well be but after a coat of zinc primer, a couple of undercoat and then top-coat (not going to rust if I can help it!) who can tell? Jim

Hi I've replaced the driver's floorpan on my Herald and scrapped the old one without taking note of where the accelerater peddle was! (Idiot!) Now I could take an educated guess but I wonder if someone could enlighten me as to its correct placement? Many thanks. Jim
