Those of a "certain age" will remember that John Nettles, In the Bergerac Series, drove a 1948? Triumph Roadster. Nettles, in an interview, was asked about the car, his quote was that the Brakes (or lack thereoff) frightened the S88t out of him.
Pete
My friend Richard sniffs that Bergerac's Roadster was only an 1800cc whereas his is the full 2000cc !

As suggested by Pete, a lowering block solved a similar problem with a new spring on my GT6.

My GT6 Mk3 is on 175/70 R13 tyres fitted to 5.5J wheels too.

Hi and welcome. That looks to be a very nice Spitfire.

My guess from bitter experience is a broken circlip on the mainshaft !

This is usually caused by ride hieght/tyre combination. I would have thought 175/70 would have been ok. If the car is fitted with lowered front springs this could be the cause, and why having adjustable spring seats on the shocks is usefall. The bulk head tapers in down towards the front outrigger, so a little bit of height adjustment can make big difference with tyre to bulkhead clearance.
That is how I eventually solved a similar problem on my GT6 !

Looking for advice again !
My 1971 GT6 Mk III is gradually losing clutch fluid and it appears to be leaking from the slave cylinder.
Can anyone advise where to buy a reliable replacement clutch slave cylinder, please ? There appears to be a very wide range of prices for slave cylinders from the usual suppliers, does the quality vary with price or shall I just buy the cheapest ?
Although a 1971 car, my Engine/Gearbox/Overdrive are from a later car - is the slave cylinder standard across GT6 variants, please ?
Thanks in anticipation.

They look very similar to the Dunlop wheels for the MGB GT V8 Models from the 1970's, so may well be Dunlop's.
What does the wording on the bottom left say, I can make out the word TYPE but can't read the rest?
Regards
If 13" dia they are certainly not from an MGB GT V8.
