    Update!  The Boot Handle (No Key)  But went online and found a Company that has New Old Stock with SS 2 Numbers(I Hope) Waiting call back?  Might Just wait it out for the Overiders and thought my brother had a carpet I could take a Template from but he now hasn't, So will scoure the local "Parts Shops" for off the Roll or just Buy one ready Cut New?

    Hi Gents!  I sent off for a Estimate on 2 x Rear and 2 x Front Overiders to a company and it came back at £350.00, so it might be more benificial to bu ones already Chromed up on Ebay?  Ref the Boot Carpet!  New are between £75 - £100 incl postage!  Moss have a Boot Handle with key and postage £42.00 but they are not sure if its the right one as they dont deal with Vitesse? So they wont Commit!!  its on Ebay and states Spitfire,TR4A, TR4, TR5 and TR250 Pt No 607978 looks the same as Herald/Vitesse? (Mine is resonable but no key)

    Hi All!  I am after a Black Fitted Boot Carpet?  A good Chrome Boot Handle & Key?  2 x Rear Overiders and 2 x Front Overiders?  Dont mined NEW or Very Good Seconds as the some of the Prices on Ebay are Way Overpriced!  Your help is appreciated  ....Martyn

    Thanks Johny!  There is nothing wrong with my Dynamo!  I wanted to fit a Alternator and this one came along complete with Fitting Kit and its brand new!  From someone who purchased it from Rimmers for his Vitesse and it had a small crack on the plastic case!  I paid £80 all in?  I had problems tho with the Flasher unit, they didnt tell me it was actually set up for Neg vehicles until the Auto Elec arrived to sort some lighting and Loom problems?  He took it apart and changed it over to Pos!   I want a Radio Fitted and Electronic Ignition lol!  So will change the whole car over to Neg earth!  Also to add to the fire, The Wiring Loom Diagram I had off ebay when I fitted the Loom was also for a Negative Vehicle?? unknown to me!  But Thanks for the offer!  I just need the correct wiring diagram from the Alternator to where it needs to go, so was looking on ebay ?  Cheers martyn

    Hi!  It comes with a Fitting Kit as the person needed it for his Mk2 Vitesse but it got sent back due to it being damaged!  I was checking to see if it has enought power(34amps) to run a Radio plus??  It says that to fit Triumph on the ebay check list??

    Hi!  In my last Topic I stated that I had a problem with the indicators/lights at the rear?  I have since managed to get a Auto Electrician in and he found that there was a problem with the connectors on the rear lights (The round Bakolite discs that the wiring fits into, which fits onto the bulb springs).  So I got 2 x Twin and 2 x Single replacements from Rimmers!  I have now replaced them but on fitting the bulb in, the spring doesn,t spring back to connect the rear of the bulb the the connecting plate??  I have cleaned out the Holder and it seems fine!!  Any comments please?

    You can go via DVLA and get copies of the previous owners and dates for around £5.00(2019) !  The only problem with my 1966 Vitesse 1600/6 was that they had a fire(Maidstone/London Area)  and from 1966 to 1969 the documents/history was lost!  My car had been off the road since 1985 and I purchased it in 1998! (Still off road, Ground up Restoration)?

    Well!  Having fitted the Loom which was missing the front and rear wiring, I have now got everything working apart from the Indicators and Brake lights!   I hit a wall with this as being unwell and unable to find a Auto Electrician whom is into Classic Cars it is now 4 months on!  Jason came over on Sunday morning and spent 2 hours going thro the wiring to find I had wrongly connected 2 wires but the main problem was that the Twin Connectors for the Brake and Side Lights had disintergrated and both the Indicator Connectors in the rear had also done the same?  I went everywhere looking for a complete New Complete backing plates with holders to no avail!  Then I found  2 x Twin and 2 x Single Bulb connectors with springs at Rimmer Bros for the price of £23.00 delivered!  In the next few weeks I am hoping to get these up and running, and then it will be time to fit the Dash back in and start on fitting the new Underlay and Carpets, Door cards and Seats etc!
