steveweblin replied to brian GT6.'s topic in Drivetrain & Rear Axle
Anybody (not just club members) can place ads for bits to a max of £500.00 in the "Marketplace" section of the Club Triumph forum for free. Also there are several facebook groups were you sell Triumph cars and parts for free. -
http://vitessesteve.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/triumph-car-dealer-stickers-triumph-car.html Have you got any Standard Triumph dealer stickers to share. I have featured several rear windows stickers in my articles about Standard Triumph car dealers and this article features several stickers that are non dealer specific.

Tyre circumference caculator
steveweblin replied to clayps's topic in Chassis, Suspension & Steering
I remember James Carruthers website Mintylamb: http://www.mintylamb.co.uk/?page=tyre.htm but seems to broken at the moment. -
Very strong grip - had to mount in a vice and hit it to get it to let go of the stud. The black wheel part had bit right into the stud.
-
Pete style impact extractor One wonders why the stud did not break under that sort of attack.
-
are the best in my experience - you can use a lot of force . The other style will fail if you use a lot of force because the stud is stuck in the head. I was recently dismantling an old GT6 engine and used a draper style which broke when the bearing inside forced the other component inside to change shape and stop gripping.

Body and chassis not matching - should I be concerned?
steveweblin replied to Red Devil's topic in General
If the numbers/dates are not those on the log book V5C you should think about getting the official records updated/corrected. -

The copy I have (1.3.72 ref 468/372/UK) is from March 1972, from what you say your copy appears to be from September 1972. Over the years P J Evans operated from several different addresses in the city, including John Bright Street, Granville Street, Inge Street, Bristol Street, Pershore Street and Essex Street.
