Steve Payne mentioned Mann Egerton in his Courier article in June. I have a collection of Standard Triumph directories: http://vitessesteve.blogspot.com/2016/03/triumph-car-dealer-directories.html which list the dealerships by town and or county in the UK. I also have a flickr album of Man Egerton related images: https://flic.kr/s/aHskzeqf82 I know Mann Egerton operated from at least 2 addresses in Chelmsford as can be seen on this page from a corporate brochure that they issued in 1976.

Ask yourself where Rimmers get their stock. Could be easily be from the same place.
-
I have bought bits from them in the past. I was looking for a dipping rear view mirror for my Vitesse and he knew about how the bits fitted together. So yes he has a real in depth knowledge and understanding of his stock.

Looks to have been not loved for a while. Broken fan and lots of rust. Expect everything would need refurbishing or replacing.

Does anybody have a copy of the Original Technical Publications CD for the 2000 and 2500 that they either sell or lend me.
-
OK I first I was sent a copy by a kind chap in Canada. Unfortunately the copy would not work. Was later sent a real CD and have been able to access all the files on it.

'Parts Wanted' area on forum?
steveweblin replied to Colin Lindsay's topic in Forum Help and Suggestions
Club Triumph have both "Free Parts" and "Wanted" sections on their forum. There was some reluctance to setting it up but it has run without problem. -

We had a lift with swop-able arms at college - one set had sections that slide inside each other. Can you get different arms for your lift? Alternately some lifts have sets of shoes I think there are called that sit on the arms might that help?

I have been collecting information and images related to Triumph car dealers for some time now. I have been writing blog posts about dealers: http://vitessesteve.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/TriumphCarDealers I have a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TriumphCarDealers I have a flickr group which includes many of my photos and it has attracted lots of contributions from others: https://www.flickr.com/groups/standard_triumph_dealers/ I welcome inquiries for information and look forward to any info you can share. Take a look at this other thread for an ongoing discussion Triumph car dealers

Having read the 1st post in this thread - anybody looking for info about Triumph Car Dealers can download and view several dealer directories from my blog at: http://vitessesteve.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/triumph-car-dealer-directories.html Regarding the V888 - That is shame, makes me glad I got the history of my Vitesse years ago. One of the previous owners being that well known Triumphist Chris Gunby.

Within the same brand you would expect impact sockets to withstand shock better than normal sockets. When an impact socket fails it should distort rather than shatter. Another thing is impact sockets tend to be bigger physically to in tight spaces may harder to use. Buying more sockets may be an opportunity to have both 6 side and 12 side in your armoury. + there are times when having 2 sockets the same size is useful.

I have broken these in the past. They get loss studs out but if the stud is stuck fast it is all too easy to apply so much torque that extractor fails. When putting the stud extractor back in its box I read the instructions which included this warning in red: WARNING: USE TORQUE RANGE LESS THAN 1/4" 6MM 15FT/LB 20N, 5/15" 8MM 15FT/LB 20NM 3/8" 10MM 25FT/LB 33NM 7/16" 12MM 25FT/LB 33NM
