tis a decent pozi2 or 3 you need to whack when aligning holes that wont align without some persuasion
a impact driver is too short for that , i have an old stanley blue pozi 2 ground with a spike works wonders in the fight
Pete
I use the impact driver with a 1/2 inch extension of varying lengths for screws and tight bolts on occasions.

Rang sainsbury's a few times until diesel was in. Travelled the 15 miles to the station and pulled in past the queuing lorries! Filled up. Had only 20 miles in the tank left, so if they had run out i may have not made it back home! Full tank shows 527miles 40 litres put in. First time driving in a few weeks, little bit tired. Resting in the car park while my mrs does some shopping. The sainsbury's is the only place i know with diesel anywhere near . The three in downham have no fuel . Still that should do me for a while now! Hopefully past this madness.
Glad you are feeling a bit better Mathew. Surprising how driving after an illness tires you out. Got the "T" shirt sadly.

Crackle Black was the last I used... ok but not great. I'm trying to find something that will replicate the early fibreboard Herald dashboard, there has to be something out there!
Just aim for a super high gloss finish Colin.......You will soon get it Always happens when i spray gloss black.

It happened in the 70's as well Pete one for rallying and one for comfort. Two cars the same colour and everything. They were never used at the same time though.... That would be criminal But it worked really well. I knew of others that did the same.

Or simply pull on the handbrake when driving to see if the vibration is there and of a similar frequency.

Strangely it doesn't always work that Gully, i really don't know why?

It looks as though both front discs and rear drums were replaced when the PO had the car restored 10 years ago so both probably made from iffy spec materials. I'll check the front first then go from there.
Hi Iain, to check the rear drums clamp off the rear brakes and see if the vibration stops. It is safe as your back brakes don't do a lot anyway. It wont work if you have braided hoses though.

Yes but if you chop off one of your legs how are you going to operate the pedals? 😆
Make sure it's the left leg and fit an automatic gearbox.

A friend had an old fridge freezer he wanted rid of, so left it outside for the scrappy men and there it stayed for a few days. He then put a sign on it £10 enquire within..... Gone in two hours..... Without payment.

I'm preparing the car for sale as I need another project (Vitesse?) as this 13/60 is now sorted (apart from very minor paint/body defects!
Does another project mean more questions, more thread drift and more fun Jeff?

A simple idea would be for people who live within the zones should be exempt from the charges, then it's up them if they want to drive in the zone. I would have thought a lot of people wouldn't.

To cap it all I've just had a small parcel delivery (local) "a knife sharpener" now I haven't ebay ordered it nor do I have any record of it there's no ebay or PayPal record of it, or payment for it, my wife and daughter reckon I'm loosing it! I told them Why would I purchase a new sharpener when I have a perfectly good one. There's no record of order on the parcel, there's a slip inside with a phone number I rang it the phone numbers chap advised he hasn't worked there for 6 months! I google map the address on the slip, the property is up for let!!
Someone's after me!!!or I've got a freebee!
I would count it as a freebee, i ordered a part for my karcher pressure washer. When i got home there was a huge box on the step...... Opened it to find my karcher part plus a "henry" vac with every possible attachment spare bags and filters. Phoned the company who said "Too much trouble to collect it" The part i ordered was £8. Bonus

Waxoil does dry out very quickly on outer panels such as door skins. A pal found out the hard way sadly after having new skins fitted. Did my cars with Dynax and still sticky after a number of years. As Clive says it's better than nothing.

The sleeve nut can also flare out as well, sorted by filing into a round shape again. If you have a spare? compare the two.
