Yes. You have to be a paid member to have extra storage quota now, or host the images yourself.

How much fun was it spraying the inside?
It was ok, bought a new LVLP top pot gun, miles less over spray cloud, only sprayed at about 25psi, my suction gun you wouldn't be able to see anything lol

I have a Clarke 200 litre quiet too in the shed next door to garage. Great all rounder for the sandblaster, painting and air tools, got it on a vat free day but machinemart don't seem to be doing them at the moment

After my GT6 is finished, I've a mini in waiting to do, same thing though a sunroof hole that I hate. Anyway I'll just make a panel, they're not massive holes, use butt clamps all way round and take time mig welding and using a wet rag to stop distortion, bit by bit, same as I did on the full front roof edge of my GT6.Β
Inevitably it will require a skim of filler then epoxy primer and high build 2k primer but results are good.

Two T shirts, a jumper and thicker overalls, thermal socks and an aerobic mat to kneel or stand on, you soon warm up and costs nothing π€£π»π

Would it be best to buy some octane booster reading the above? I use it in my Toyota IQ daily driver, it has made a difference and it cleans the internals, wouldn't know what difference to an old carb motor it would make. It was 26 quid for a litre, I use 30ml per tank or thereabouts

How about dry sanding to avoid moisture absorption? Wet sand top coats.
Yeah I might give that a go, but it is acrylic primer so shouldn't absorb water. The data sheet says it's very easy to sand so yeah, dry try first cheers ππ

Is that unevenness your addressing, typical age related distortion, rather than any physical damage?
Hi Dave, it seems to have had various dents in the roof, filled etc, and I've also had no option but make up a whole front of roof and weld various rot holes in the roof, the plastic sound deadening under the roof lining keeps condensation under the roof skin on these, they won't be going back in lol

Cheers Matthew, just do it when you can and don't give up π

Looks like your be on the road before my gt6! Keep it up.
Getting there slowly, just doing it when I can, just lost mother in law to C, now we are looking after father in law best we can but he needs 24/7 care really π

New front cross member fitted and all wire wheeled n scraped, etch primed then blacked. Suspension rebuilt, fitted anti roll bar and steering rack, just waiting for track rod ends as they sent wrong ones, and drop links. Just ordered some drilled/slotted discs and green stuff pads, should be back on its wheels next weekend, then can torque everything up correctly. π

If the bolt is 5/16 then a tube with an id of 8mm and a wall thickness of at least 1mm giving an od of 10mmΒ
Cheers Mathew, in a metric world the unf equivalent isn't always easy to match up, and I have no bolts that size to measure yet as they're on the way lol ππ

Iβm pretty sure theyβre non-standard fitment? So something the bolt fits through comfortably should do!
Think they're tacked in, they are in the new outrigger you can buy from Rimmer's anywayππ

Does anyone know the size of tube I'd need to order, one of these spacers are missing from my GT6 outrigger, I know the bolt is 5/16, will just order a bit from a steel trader.Β
ThanksΒ
Iain.

Well, I've started the paint process, front valances and spoiler are all one piece now, blended nicely, had to be done while all bolted to car, looks really smart but can't upload pic. Next is bonnet, underside too, I took the outer black coating completely off as there was spidering of rust areas and flakey non bonded patches, the epoxy 2k primered it π
