  1. Skim head , if warped or you want it to look clean! Slight increase in compression ratio. Thought the longer stroke affected bore ware more than bottom end. I rebuilt a 1500 engine and did 20k hard miles in it and it was still fine. Had skim on head and ported myself, ran on mobile 1 when it was 5w40 no problems till they changed it to 0w40 then the oil light would flicker at tick over . Changed to a 10w40 full synthetic. Payen gasket set, did not think they were expensive, never had a problem with them.
  2. Put it under some pressure, then a few taps with a hammer. Might just shock it off.
  3. 6 volt coil or 12 volt coil? Your answer may be closer than you think

  7. Thanks for the link, watched tonight, some new bits and an interesting programme. Just thought it was a bit rushed towards the end. Could have been a two part programme, I'm sure they cut alot that could have gone in.
  8. Sleeping for wimps, and it will get me the sack more than being on my phone! Gas axes are very good for quick heating of parts, breaking rust lock ect. Again at one of my previous works! I only work 5 months of the year! The wonder of four on four off nights.
  9. I always wanted to be a lumberjack as could not build a shrubbery for the knight's that say...... still there's always the ........ chair. There are one main reason, there are two main reasons, there are three main reasons. Im off to walk in the silly way. Spam spam spam. Thank god thats over, and now for something completely different.
  10. Worst one i had, 40 tonne press could not budge it, but a 40 tonne press and gas axe did get it, but the side of the keyway came with it. Bin!!!!
  11. At least it is not sharp. Hot glue gun and a puller might do it. Warm the panel carefully with a hot air gun and a gentle push with a round stick from behind. Careful not to push too hard and get a point .
  12. Have a tub full of nuts, not everyone can boast that.
  13. 28mm will do, but make sure its a six point and not a 12 . More flat area against the head.
  14. Ridley Scott better look out 😄😁😆😅 No , bought it as having a look inside could confirm whether you need to strip down or not.
  15. I used an impact gun, bit of shaking then it just zipped them off.
  16. Well , had been thinking of one for a while and at 20 pounds its pushed me to buy before all you lot snap them up!
  17. I have had a few cars with newer plates due to being abroad.

  19. Some carefull measurements before committing would be in order, there is only so far back you can go before the height will be a major problem. Big power bulge maybe
  20. Well done, perseverance wins again.
  21. Again shrinking the market for competitors to move in.
  22. Same, battery chargers are really good as mine and most have safety built in to stop if it draws too much or dead short.
  23. I did that on an old exhaust manifold, it works really well.
