  3. You have done a good job on it, hope it never needs to be used in an emergency! But now at least you have peace of mind.
  4. Not many people want to get there hands dirty these days. So they factor the price of repairs by a tradesmen before purchase . This means a drivable car has alot more value than book price. So if you don't mind getting your own hands dirty there could still be some bargains out there.
  5. I had an alpine, unfortunately it was a talbot alpine, complete with five diffrent body colour body panels! Yours will look alot better than mine.
  6. Got some drill bits and taps from the london tap company as recommended on this site. Drilled stainless like butter all day long with them. Would recommend them.
  7. How far are you? I have spare hubs with standard wheel studs, front and back. Just took out std to put m12 in , as installed alloy hubs. Have a few of these. If you can collect at a very reasonable price.
  8. My clothes go from bought to "you sould not have worn that" . Socks take too much of a religious state to be used.
  9. Copper slip the bolts/threads to stop seizing. Just remember the lube affect will allow the bolt to go tighter and if your a bit heavy handed snap a head off a small bolt!

  11. If you know the sizes a bearing supplier will get you the bits you need, good quality and price. I use BRT in Wisbeach. I have use one in Thetford as well but can't remember there name.
  12. Quiet is good, for a saloon. Loud is ok for short blasting but you soon get bored/tired of it.

  14. Remember "why don't you" Saturday mornings . Hated it, went outside as soon as it started. Pete you did the exhaust too quickly. You could lend a hand sorting the pumaspits one, need to raise the front about an inch to two! Keeps hitting any bumps!
  15. 80's ford stuff has gone mad over the last couple of years!
  16. I met him at a show a few years back, him and the at the time team from practical classics. Tore them off about there restorations, how everything was dipped, sent off to be done at this and that specialist! Said most can't afford there type of restoration, and needed more arcticals on how too. They did take it in good spirit and I'm sure they must have had others say the same . I did notice there was an increase in more do it yourself features! So well done to them.
  17. Those are the type i put in my last gt6. Fitted fine and were really comfortable. In 2012 i paid 60 pounds from a breaker, i was in there when the car was carried in and they did need a good clean. Im after some leather ones, preferably heated.
  18. Yes, my dad did that! Half filled, drove it a couple of miles then realised. Then left 3 months in welwyn garden city as he lost the keys! They as if by magic turned up in my washing machine! Just after someone working for us visited! I still don't know how i should have had them as he was driving it!!!!
