I have GAZ adjustables on my Mk3 GT6 Rotoflex and they feel hard as hell.....Is this normal??

I fitted GAZ adjustables, bought direct from manufacturer, 6 weeks lead-in time. Front are great BUT rear still feels hard as hell....Is this "normal"? I have only driven my own car so have nothing to compare it to. There is a bit of movement if I push down the rear of car so I'm asuming they are not bottomed out..I didn't measure open/closed length before installation as the helpful guy at GAZ assured me they were for Rotoflex with uprated mount.

hi, went through the hunt a couple of months ago, Mk3 Rotoflex with the revised mount...Ended up going for GAZ adjustables.

had a couple of things from Park Lane, great quality and decent instructions. Seat covers look good on his site!!

Hi all, Next problem is a small amount of fuel escaping through the cap seal, not the one that surrounds the whole assembly, I mean the black rubber "plunger" inside the opening cap. Plunger looks in good condition and the flat spring is in place but doesn't appear to do much. There is also a wire that holds the plunger in place. Any pics to show the correct fitting to allow the spring to actually do something ie hold the plunger down in the filler hole Thanks.

Just fitted new 155/80 on Mk3 GT6 to stay "original"....d'ya mean 30R/26F. Took a punt at 28 all round but knew it might need tweaked.

Looks slightly smaller than the one I have so should be a better fit, have ordered something from Baines site so fingers crossed!!!

Think I'll try this one...Not at the car just now, What length do I need?? (I know, Rookie error!!) 4 or 5 metre

Hi All, '72 GT6 Mk3 tailgate, tried a couple of weatherstrips of the 'Bay but they're far too thick so tailgate won't shut properly, and need cut-outs at the hinges. What are others using...Is it a simple U-seal or is there a thin "bubble" type? Had a recommendation to try Chic Doig but not answering emails (maybe Covid-closed) Current LInks and/or pics gratefully accepted, Cheers.

Bit the bullet, new set of 4x GAZ adjustables on order....Lead in time of 5 weeks atm...Hopefully a bit more FREEDOM by then !!

And correction, they're SPAX, Senior moment 😞 Once normality returns will get my friendly mechanic to have a go in the vice.....Unless anybody comes up with a decent used set!!!

GAZ will do refurb @£30+VAT+Carriage (extra if seals required too). Yes, 10 years of road crud have effectively killed these, really need cleaned/adjusted regularly. Anyway, I think being stuck on "FIRM" is going to spoil my enjoyment of the car and for the price of a refurb (+bit extra?) I can get some new shocks. Looked at the el-cheapo black ones which won't have a long life so gonna try and find some Monroe's....Anybody changed theirs andknow what model number to help me on my way, Needs to be for Rotoflex model.

Hi all, '72 GT6 Mk3....Currently running GAZ adjustables which were set to "FIRM" and not very comfortable for everyday driving. Had a go at adjusting them today, WD40 squirted and left to work, got 2 on to "SOFT" setting but other 2 had Chinesium adjusting screws which basically fell apart. Problem is it was 1 Front and 1 Rear that have fallen apart (both Driver side) so I am stuck on "FIRM" unless I change all 4 😞 Anybody uprated theirs and might have some VERY GOOD used units available? Anybody running basic shockers? Or is it a case of GAZ vs SPAX adjustables? (£350 or so I'd not counted on spending ). I don't intend hammering the car so not looking for racing quality, just comfortable road kit and imagine not adjusting these on a regular basis.

Aaah, that probably means the spare is original , prefer a darker shade.

Trunnion lube is on my to do list....Is it doable using Gear oil in a grease gun, or will oil go everywhere but through the nipple?? Thinking about a big syringe maybe too.....Give me a clue guys, Thank you.

Hi, Thinking about a wheel refurb on '73, Mk3 GT6.....What colour paint?? Spare has been done at some point but it is a VERY bright Silver, looks cheap and nasty.

Should be Mk3....So 2" smooth rubber will be what I'm looking for?!

Hi all, Asking here cos I can't get to my car atm. Looking to put extension tube on to air filter housing to "catch" cooler air from grill area...What diameter tubing do I need?? Cheers.

Fiddly little buggers, mine needed the pin pushed through from under the winder handle which made life awkward. You WILL need an extra hand to get them back in, guaranteed!!
