  1. Having had a good route around I may have found the issue ! ( Passenger footwell) Not sure why this wire has melted or if its been like it for some time but certainly a starting point. I think a complete check / overhaul is in order. I'll post the outcome when this section of the wiring has been replaced. Just as well it was only the indicators, looks as if it could have been far more serious. Phil
  2. Pete, All suggestions appreciated, going to check the earth wires and the flasher unit today. Phil
  3. Peter, The unit is an electronic unit to operate LED repeaters. I’m confused how the fault is effecting both sides so I assume it somewhere along the loom before the split to the individual units. Might disconnect one side to see what effect that has. Phil
  4. Fine dry morning so took the opportunity to go for a spin, Interesting drive today particularly on roundabouts as unknown to me at the time when indicating, repeaters flashed both sides.( Front and Rear ) The car being a 72 Uk model TR6 didn't until today have hazard warning lights. A new electronic flasher unit was fitted 1500 miles ago when the lights were upgraded to led. Is it likely the issue is the flasher unit or more involved. If so any recommendations of a good auto electrician in south Bucks. As always many thanks to the generosity of the forum assisting those of us that wish they had the technical know how somewhere equal to the love of their cars. Phil.
  5. Thinking of doing some chassis protection through the winter on my TR6 and seem to have read about drilling the chassis and injecting wax oil and then inserting rubber bungs. I'm having difficulty locating the thread but my question is, do the bungs need to be or a certain composition so as not to be effected by the waxoil. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks Phil
  6. Hi Doug, I have the usual Carte Internationale D'Assurance Automobile or Green Card as we like to call it, a Purple passport and a letter from the principal of RemedialCollege ..hope that's enough. However regardless as to what happens next month, if we Get It Done or not i don't think any significant travel restriction will come into play for a while..I hope !! Roger, Just had a look at the route planner and its only a tad over 1300 miles for you to attend the South Bucks meeting and I don't think its until the 19th so you'll still have time to be back to get the sprouts on..( English Joke). Thanks all Phil.
  7. Hi all, I have just joined the membership after attending the show at the NEC and having a chat with Angie who was very welcoming and engaging regarding the club and its activities, as were the other members manning the stand. I was delighted to learn the local group meets at a pub not 3 miles from me so will definitely be attending meeting on a regular basis and getting to know the local Triumph enthusiasts. The trip to Le Mans in July looked so appealing I've booked a couple of places but as it'll be my first trip to the continent having acquired the car just over a year ago I'm sure I'll need some pointers as to what I should cram in the boot apart from a wine cooler. Looking forward to meeting up in the new year. Regards Phil
