Thanks Pete; I'll experiment on new cylinders off the car before committing. I'm more or less sure they're metric M10 but as usual wanted a second opinion before starting and finding out the hard way, like I usually do.
My '81 TR7 has a label on the passenger side engine compartment stating that the brake fittings are metric

Thanks Pete, I'll follow up on the advice.

I have a 1980 TR& DHC bought some 6 months ago. Interior trim is blue check, black hood and blue hood cover. The hood cover has damage in the form of a ragged hole near the inside lower stud. Given the cost of a new hood cover, does anyone know if I can get the damage repaired, preferably locally? Thanks in advance, incidentally, I live in Essex, near Southend on Sea.
New TR7/8 Headlamp Panels available

I have purchased one of these panels from TRSDF/Ex Pressed Steel, via Robsport Int'l. The purchase was very simple and easy, Robsport etch primed the panel and stored it for me as I couldn't collect it personally due to the Covid lockdown. I eventually asked them to deliver it, which they promptly did. I am extremely pleased with the condition and appearance of the panel, the only worry I have is in regard to the positioning of the 8 bolt holes and the need to spot weld the panel in place but I understand that a positioning template is in the pipeline. Can anyone advise when this will be available?
