  1. Maybe fuel starvation? Seems to be a lot of it about.. E10 ? Rubber slivers? Crud in float Chambers? Fuel pump woes?
  2. Can you get the barrel out? Maybe that is replaceable ?
  3. Blimey! 10 quid over here. E.G. below. Your later one cannot be much different??
  4. Do the spits not have a reinforcing bar/struts? It looks very posh. Heralds have bars but not like that. Yes RTB, good idea! A Tuxedo can hang there and you can do an 007 or milk tray man 'change'
  5. Either a cloths rail or for smoking kippers on ??
  6. Unlikely. Performance would suffer. Wash it down with 'gunk' or similar. Scatter talcum powder all around. Have a drive and look for rivulets. Probably rocker gasket ??
  7. Wow! That looks 'warm' ! Hopefully just some oil leakages getting burnt off. ??
  8. Yes, I got a pump from ☆immers and it ran at 7 psi. Lost 1/2 gallon before I realised! I complained and they sent me another. Exactly the same. I cleaned and reused the original ! The actual problem was air leaking in from the pick up pipe!
  9. Now now boys I only started this to show my 'mess' Must get some cable ties and maybe a fuse box behind the radios. Damn that handbrake! Keep catching my belt hooks on it pity my neuralgic fingers cannot grip and strip.
  10. Pulled the (original) radio out to piggy back a FM/Cassette player and found this mess. Most of my own doing ( done by 'feel' over the last couple of years. Not scotchlock in sight, plenty of fuses! ignition barrel was dropped too. Need a bezel screwed:)
  11. 360 ft/lb is 500 Newton metres but CATTLE???. One up on horses I suppose... must be Argentinean origin? Fray bentos? Certainly will be frayed and bent being made of plastic !!
  12. Thank you. Not a fuse then? or does it act as one too? I'll fit one anyway. Cheers.
  13. Just popped the fuse holder to check ampage... Found this!!! Any idea what it may be? I'm piggybacking a cassette/ FM radio to it. Pity I only have mono speakers:)
  14. What are you going to do with the Mk2 seats now?. Hint hints nudge nudge
  15. What about this stuff? Only about £17 a gallon
  16. Tom, if yours has the Ash tray in the central top position, I found that very handy. For the others, I used the demister duct.
  17. I mentioned the GEM in a post a few months back (something I resigned from recently) I had been with them since they were Vintage. No one even attempted a reply so I guessed they are a 'banned' subject ???
  18. That is odd! Ours are green for general waste, brown for garden waste and grey for recycling. Simples
  19. Classic car meet at Backworth Hall on Sunday 5th June 2022. 11am- 4pm. £5/car. Organised by MG car club. Anyone? Don't get many up here!
  20. I've just had a quick peek under my bonnet and I seem to see a full inch clearance from the rear of the arch to the bulkhead 'ledge' ..... ???? As I shut bonnet, about 6" to go before shut. Mind, it was by torchlight, but no way would it touch.
  21. Like my grandson said "it's got a choke???" I've slightly reprofiled the cam to give faster tickover at 1/4 choke. Never needed more than 3/4 when 5 degrees +. Started today at 14 degrees outside with half but in a few seconds, non required Here's a piece of mine at off
  22. Good evening and welcome. You have taken on some 'project' there! Good luck.
  23. Not really followed this but saw the request so here goes. Lighting poor only got a dangle single bulb:) If you need more I'll get out in the sun tomorrow
