Hi, It looks like the end of the hood front stick, otherwise known as the header rail. The elongated hole fits the frame for forward adjustment the other end fits the stick. Well if it isn't that it is remarkably similar. Steve

Hi Pete, I measured it today and in thr picture from Chris A you will see that although hidden by the flags the holes line up with the trim and the hole nearest the end of the wing is 2 and a 1/4 inches from the end of the fin, this was measured with the V trim taken off. Hope this helps. If my memory serves me right the1360 was not the only car to have them I think the 948 had them. Steve

Hi Pete, Can measure the position tomorrow. If it is a 1360 there should be two holes in the right place. I assume as you are asking that this is not the case.

I didn't phrase my question very well, as is usual for me. Nearside and offside is easy, it was looking at the car from the front or rear that was confusing me. As for Port and starboard a good one is, the captain left the port wine behind.

Hi All, Simple question is the right side of our cars as viewed from the driving position ie the offside. I need an offside rear overider and there is one on ebay for 60£ and advertised as right hand side. Thanks Steve

Thanks for the replies, I didn't explain myself very well, but what I was hoping was an explanation as to how get the tank out once all fixtures have been removed, the drainplug stops the tank sliding out from the bottom and the filler neck stops it moving in from the top. The best bit is I have done this once but can't remember how, I think I bent the filler hole to release the top and then tidied it up with a hamer and dolly afterwards. Steve

That's interesting Chris, I googled it yesterday and came across something from Frost Restoration saying that it is good for applying over painted surfaces. But yes bare metal is the best way to g. In actual fact I did not have any reaction with the paint on the panel it was me not doing the right thing.

Well, problem solved, I mixed up some Dolphin Glaze filler last night and flated it this morning. I then mixed up some epoxy primer and realised that what I had been using was primer without the hardener that I had mixed up ages ago, so sprayed on the new primer with hardener and bingo all fine, have given it three coats of primer filler put the valence by the log burner in the workshop which will give a gentle heat overnight. In my defence I had a head injury that required surgery, a bleed and clot on the brain so when I mixed up the original primer had not put the hardener in with the primer. I have been preparing a rear valence for topcoat, sanded down the original paint as it looked very good and welded the holes for the bumpers and filled any blemishes. Gave it two coats of primer filler and flated, then gave it a coat of epoxy primer, onlyto find cracks in a couple of places. The only thing I can think is I gave it an extra pass, but even then on the bench under the light it looked a thin covering in one place so I don't think it was applied to thickly. Any thoughts please. Steve

Hi All, Looking for some help. Was looking to connect up my alternator bought recently from Pagets, as is the case with these things the instructions leave a little to be desired. It starts by saying connect the large spade connector and the smaller connector to the Lucas connector, but it does not say to which terminal, is it to the one on the right as you look from the back of the connector or to thr left. as I sit here I have to say that I have not looked at the alternator to see if it is obvious so will look tomorrow. Has anybody had difficulty in contacting Spit Bits, I ordered a part last Monday 21st it was in stock and was small enough to be posted, still not received it as of today. I have tried ringing several times now and the phone just keeps on ringing. It's not so much the cost if has gone missing as it wasn't expensive but I can't get on until it arrives, hope all is OK with them and I have just been unlucky. Steve

Hi All, I am thinking of purchasing a car lift as getting under the car is not becoming an option much longer. I did a search and the main obstical appears to be delivery and installation, one supplier state that it is delivered by an artic and has to have the turning capacity for that others say it needs an available fork lift to unload it. And I don't think I have the strength to assemble it on my own. All these things are able to be overcome but with a lot of help from other people, it would be good then if there was a company that would install it, did not see that option when searching. So any help, advice would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

Hi All, All sorted now thanks used a trusted piece of metal and rubber strap to secure the exhaust on the other bracket on the boot outtrigger, have not secured to the gearbox, do I need to? Thanks for the reply, as always tssc forum coms up with the answers again. Steve

Hi, Help needed please. Have started to fit a new exhaust but I am struggling to know where to support it, I have attached it to the manifold and the nearside bootriger but it sags in the middle and I don't know how it is supported. The service manual shows the fittings but none seem to relate to any support in the middle, the just show the one strap and u brackets. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

Hi, I bought what I thought was 1360, only t9 discover it was a 1200 with a 1360 bonnet. Of the severel things that is different is the column light stalk. Have tried on ebay to source one, a five lead 1360 one too avail, iwas hoping that someone more knowledgeable might be able to help with an alternative suggestion. Thanks Steve
