[Young driver insurance]

Many years ago when my (first) kids came of age I bought each a 12/50 amd Vitesse insured through the young drivers scheme for premiums which were a fraction of e.g. current Mini etc.

I have another child now approaching 17 and have been offered a nice Vitesse.  Tried to get help from Footman James who were extremely unhelpful and declined to give me any information saying I would have to apply for a quote when she acquired a full licence.  This does not help me decide whether this purchase is economically viable for her.

Does anyone have any recent experience which mught helpme

[Vitesse convertible conversion.]

I recall there used to be a kit for this, including new rear tub.  Is this still available?

If not, how practicable isd the conversion?
