  1. Yes it operates the leavers at the bottom of the carbs but not sure that they are staying in the correct position
  2. Trying to start my Spitfire after winter storage but I cant get it to start. I have confirmed that there is fuel at the carb, the engine turns over but only splutters briefly and the starter motor drops out but never starts. Last year I had the carb overhauled and the spark plugs replaced, which did improve things with regards to starting but now its no better. The car is fitted with electronic points by the previous owner Is this likely to be an issue with the choke, electronic ignition, or starter motor. Thanks Mike
  3. Im referring to the original mechanical thermostat installed within the cooling circuit. The electrical fan that has been installed has no automatic way of starting
  4. Hi My Spitfire has been fitted with an electric water cooling fan but is activated only with a manual on/off switch. Is there a kit to change the mechanical thermostat to a sensor to auto start/ stop the fan? Thanks Mike
  5. Picture of the arrangement as it stand. Think the area with the clock is non standard and has the horn button, screen wash switch and not sure what the other is for yet. To the right of the steering wheel is the volt meter and pressure meter but still to workout what for?
  6. Thanks for the feedback I found these guys online, does anyone have experience of there products? https://prestigeautotrim.com/uk/triumph-spitfire-carpets-boot-standard.html Mike and Eva

  8. Just bought a mark III spitfire (1968) in red with a beige top and oddly looking for some guidance for boot interior carpets. Have seen some online but not in beige. Thoughts and advise would be appreciated? Thanks Mike and Eva (aged 11)
