  1. https://m.facebook.com/MonmouthshireClassicandVintageVehicleShow/about Anyone else going?
  2. More than happy with this. Stage 2 tuned Vitesse engine really sings up the Welsh hills and valleys!
  3. In the end I bought this. Based on a mk2 1967 vitesse 2.0 https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1346544
  4. Well spoken. It was originally a white car, recently sprayed red.
  5. It's a fast road tune, really sweet. Picking it up on Monday!
  6. As Vitesse convertibles are few and far, I'm going to look at this. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1346544 Any thoughts?
  7. I saw this on Saturday. It's ride was rock solid and really horrible, colour change from white to red with filler in doors, engine gearbox and brakes seemed okay, but I only drove it a couple of miles. Definitely not for me, I was expecting softer suspension. Thanks for the advice given, it was really useful.
  8. Thanks for the very quick and informative replies. It looks like it's going to be an interesting viewing and a good learning experience.
  9. I was using this as a learning experience, but was very suprised at the hard ride, I was expecting softer.
  10. I got to see this one today, the first vitesse I've driven and now have loads of questions. http://www.pioneer-automobiles.co.uk/Triumph_Vitesse_Convertible_di.html First impressions, it didn't look to bad from a distance. Closer, fresh paintwork, been sprayed red, was white. Filler in the doors starting to bubble. Same around the bottom of the windscreen and rear wing tops. Took it for a drive and I didn't enjoy that, suspension was almost solid, a real boneshaker. Is this normal? Mechanics seemed okay, brakes, engine, gearbox, overdrive etc but very close ratio. By 30mph I could use 4od. Is that normal? It had a small steering wheel and that made the car heavy to drive and very pointy. Is all this normal for a vitesse or have I just looked at a poor one? Thanks in advance. Russ
  11. I noticed that on previous mot's, screwdriver and magnet at the ready! Where are the main areas to check apart from spring hangers, outriggers and seatbelt points? Thanks.
  12. My thoughts too, budgeted 2-3 hundred for seats and gaitor . I didn't know about the k&ns though. Thanks
  13. Hi. I'm looking at this on Monday, my first one. Any advice welcome. http://www.pioneer-automobiles.co.uk/Triumph_Vitesse_Convertible_di.html Thanks. Russ
