[Triumph 2000 camshaft query]

It could be that the cam timing is advanced, cant imagine it's a full race cam in there as it's a re-profile grind, all that will happen with cams and auto box's is naff acceleration until the cam hits it's power band

For my GT6 Mk3, I recovered the dash top/crash pad with a soft textured vinyl kit from Owen at Park Lane Classics:

It's not hard to fit and there's lots of advice available from Owen. The overall effect is closer to original than the hard plastic version, and the Park Lane kit is much cheaper.

I have just started rebuilding my 73 gt6 engine and have found all the inlet seats and valves have nice shiny surfaces and all the exhaust valves and seats are completely burnt and leaking, so will deffo be having hardened valve seats fitted for the rebuild...
