    Noobie Here!

as you can see from the profile pic i have a gt6 mk1 i now have a 2.5 mk2 pi saloon what different cars, both is size and ride quality the GT6 was built as a more luxury spitfire with more power and comfort but the PI is a different class altogether. If your after 2 seat fun, go GT6 if after family space comfort quietness smoothness go big 6. i now have a harem of 2 i fear one may start misbehaving through neglect
  10. The running issues now all sorted ,car collected and put 200 miles on it already over the course of the North Yorkshire triumph weekend. Looking and running very well Current mileage is 7820 from new! blog updated
  11. not all gone to plan sadly the pi was hesitant not wanting to pull strongly or to rev under load and a sooty exhaust so after 5 miles turned round and YT are fettling with it cause not apparent at moment having checked usu suspects so it going on rolling road hopefully ready for the north yorkshire triumph weekend this friday fingers and everything else crossed
  12. just under a year since i saw this very original low mileage PI for sale Yorkshire triumphs have now finished their recommissioning/restoration on it after its 40yrs laid up in a garage http://saffronpi.blogspot.co.uk/ i cant wait
  13. may i suggest the club buy a small amount some to try on one of the staff cars
  14. ? start stocking Dynax products http://www.bilthambe...waxes/dynax-s50 having read the "rust protection for chassis" topic in the body work and fittings forum i went and bought some of the dynax Seem to do all what the others do(see there website ) but the aerosol cans and spray wand make application easy and availability of a clear product also is useful too. Highly recommended i have no connection with the company for product just a satisfied user. julian
  15. i have just re oiled my chassis and sills, prev waxoiled 10+yrs ago i have used the dynax product and found the whole process very easy and relatively mess free, therr is also a clear product for seams that are visible eg front wheel arc in boot area it smells like it contains some wool fat i would recommend the club shop getting hold of this to sell julian

    Oil pressure

my old gt6 ran low pressures due to some wear often 20-30 pi cruising , an oil cooler with thermostat brought it upto 50 psi
  17. i think these should be reinstated as we have a vast model range with significant differences and expertise within the membership with regards to the different models prob as before on the old forum as this seemed to work well
  18. who's going? What are the club doing We are coming en famille and aim to pitch up on the thursday Apart from club car parking is a display planned ? I am bringing my recently restored Mk2Pi but would also like to bring my Mk1 gt6 (prev stafford concours) and would be happy for both to go on a club stand if wished To do this i would need an additional infield pass for the gt6 but am reluctant to shell out another £100 how do i get one?
  19. i love north italy and the roads Sounds like an excellent trip Would this be upscaleable to spa classic type numbers ?? and would anyone in tssc take on organisation of such how much was the train?? how much would the whole shebang with good hotels cost? jealous++
  20. look nice but i would avoid any used wires as likely to have play in them i have also had a wire wheel splined adaptor pull its studs out of a hub on my previous gt6 , initially there was knocking on cornering then a odd bobbing at the rear with the knocking, thankfully i stopped before the last stud let go and the wheel came off
