  1. Stag on Wheeler Dealers, quest now.
  2. Cheers Clive, Ha My main concern actually was the music playlist, because i'm not so sure me and my dad have the same tastes. Other than that it's pretty much what I thought, I'm going to give her a good service and clean at the weekend so that should hopefully clear that all up. And i'll grab hold of the other items you mention, sure I have most of it lying around on the garage floor. If you cant fix it with gaffer tape and cable ties then its done. Hopefully see you there.
  3. Guys, Taking the trip to spa in the Spitty. Now i've checked her over and taken her on a nice drive this weekend and apart from a few niggles which are easy to sort, she drove beautifully as always. Now my question is, is there anything I should consider taking in terms of spares / essential kit? Thanks

    Classic Spa

Just wondering who's planning on going? I was planning on taking my dad for his Birthday, so any advice would be greatly received. Also I am planning on making a mock up ticket in photoshop .... so If anyone would be willing to share some picture of their cars at spa, or any pictures related to it, i'd appreciate it. (secretly want a fairly close up of a classic spa grill badge) Thanks
  5. Darren I had the same problem on my spit. Like they mentioned above try primuiem unleaded. If not add some octane booster to normal unleaded. Should help no end. Also (and I'm guessing you've already checked this) but check the timing is as per the book, may just have to dial it back a little. Marc
  6. John post some pictures when it's done, I'd like to see that bonnet on a gt6. Very much Ferrari 250 gto ish.
  7. Went to view this Spit yesterday I found on eBay, feel sorry for who ever is purchasing it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281412766266?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Supposedly 5 small holes and a paint job. Fails to mention that the doors don't fit the gaps, the car is riddled with filler, needs at least two new panels, new interior, or that the body isn't actually square to any other panel at all! The seller really couldn't care less about it and was just hoping to make as much money as possible. Whoever gets it, good luck!
  8. Can't recommend Peter James enough, includes breakdown and I think that is for Europe not just the UK. However I would consider going a price comparison site. Being a fairly young driver Peter James wouldn't budge, where as Adrian flux halved mine and by looking on a comparison site, found out Admiral do a classic policy were they give a discount for an agreed value. Worth ringing them up, they reduced mine dramatically.
  9. Looks nice John, how much weight do you think you'll save? And on a different note, where did you get the tail lights from because they don't look standard and I've been thinking of putting flush fitting ones on mine. Marc
