  1. It's the same in japan, I worked in japan and wife's japanese, when we lived there you don't need a car as trains, buses etc are fantastic.
  2. It doesn't matter which party gets in, they all mess everything up. I honestly think if you go and do politics at uni it's cause your to thick to do anything else.
  3. I watched that on TV. I wouldve had a go at repairing the origonal bonnet, didn't look too bad to me. Hope they didn't throw it out!
  4. Just noticed this on ebay, someone on here was looking for one before. I've no connection with the seller. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256471303079?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=QrlpLYblQ4G&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=KK-pK3ilQ2-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  5. Speedo cable ticking?
  6. https://www.chicdoig.co.uk/ Chic use to sell them, might still have some in stock.
  7. Thanks Andy sorry I must've missed that, or forgot it one of the two.
  8. Just wondered if the March couriers are out? I usually get mine on the 1st or 2nd but hasn't come this month.
  9. Always loved the coupe shape looks fantastic with the vitesse bonnet. Envy !!!
  10. Hi Roger, think oyster just a core plug, loads on the bay , they come on a set but try james paddocks or canleys some of the triumph parts guys. I've posted a pic of some I found on ebay to give you an example.
  11. I agree with you, done mine a while ago and the corrosion was from the inside. Condensation.
  12. Great, sadly I don't have a picture, but nice tale, be about 1972 I bought a fiat 500 from Birtley car auction for £27 it was a blue one 1967. I repaired a dent on front wing and put a new exhaust. Ran it for a wee while and sold it for £125. Gone are the days ...
  13. The metal will have stretched. 5 mm is too much to fill. I would gently heat the area with a torch to shrink it in while tapping it with a body hammer and dolly. They'll be loads of you tube videos on shrinking.
  14. This country's system is crazy now. They teach the kids metric at school, but we still use miles? Fuel sold in litres but we still calculate mpg. And drink pints. My daughter just last week sat her driving test and said the sat nav bit was telling distance in yards. Serious man.
  15. Maybe be best to use a thin slitting wheel on a grinder.
  16. I have a bosch and a Hitachi angle grinder, picked up both with offers on at the time they replaced a 15 year old proline. The new ones are very smooth runners.
  17. I always liked citroens over the years to me they always had the best designers. But I never owned one till my daughters c1, which is really a toyota.🤔🤣
  18. Hi Pete I know, did it on my phone and it loaded it up there. I've went into edit but can't seem to move the pic up.
  19. My daughters citroen c1 had a grumble rear wheel bearing. It can be a bugger to get out, the wheel nut pad looked similar to the triumph, so I got put my homemade puller. The wheel pad is almost the same, I elongated the pullers holes a wee bit. Bolted it onto the citroen and bang pulled the bearing straight off. Triumph to the rescue.
  20. Sorry I can't seem to insert the process, tried to delete it in edit but it's not working. Please ignore below, I'll try again later.
  21. My daughters peugeot 107 needed a new remote key, iit would close but not open on press of the button. The key would open the door fine. I put a new battery but no good. It was temperamental at best. We decided to get a new remote from the AA. He came last night , nice bloke, cut the key then cloned it to the car. Here's the process. Now who on earth thinks of these things, I thought I might as well stand in the kitchen at midnight on my left leg and swing the cat round my head 3 times it worked anyway, not the kitchen bit though, but thought process must've been the same 🤣
  22. All this technology is because they can market and sell the car for more money, also we are not supposed to be able to fix it and the dealers expect to make even more money on servicing and repairs.
  23. We had some great fun with communication with the japanese. I married a japanese girls, 20 years later still have amusing conversations. 🤣
