  1. This is the set up that were fitted to my 13/60 when I bought it. They work but I needed LHD units for France.
  2. I've been glad for 30 years, although I'm not sure I'm "glad all over" 😉
  3. Funny you should mention Surrey, my last known address in the UK was New Malden.
  4. I've a working set for a RHD 13/60 sitting in my boiler room - in Normandy
  5. Yes, it should get a grant from the NHS
  6. That's ok, I have a fence around the back garden . . .
  7. That belongs on the other forum 😉
  8. Mine were listed as Herald and they fit like a glove, well like a hub cap. They came with the globe ready fitted.
  9. I know that the globe centre wasn't an original 13/60 item but I like them. I bought a set of hub caps complete with them via the bay, I think, as the ones I had were past their best
  10. He probably keeps a stock for just such moments
  11. That looks very, very much like it to me.
  12. About a month ago, here in France, a minister questioned about the cost of food going up all the time and the problems of the less well off to make ends meet replied that it was far cheaper to prepare food at home than buy prepared stuff. The outcry from some political parties was huge. On the other hand there are regular TV spots pointing out the health & cost advantages of cooking your own food.
  13. Insurance is a complete waste of money - until you need to claim. Maybe they should sue the government as it is their fault they didn't stop global warming/changes in time.
  14. Hit Bretagne very hard. Here in my part of Normandy, well away from the coast, the wind last night only maxed at 110kph, plenty of rain into the bargain
  15. The valve may be fully open but if blocked by gunge it won't let hot water through. My 13/60 was like that. I gave it a good blast with water via a hose pipe, both directions, with the hoses off. I replaced the valve as it was completely bunged. Try flushing before taking the heater apart.
  16. Interesting mystery there. I can see the similarity between the car and the TS4. 🤔

I don't even have to drink coffee to get the caffeine. It comes in the pain killers I take, mixed with opium powder. How about another indispensible icon :

Are you implying they have pointy noses?
  19. From the email I received: "The Com want to see how this works for our overseas members and if it is successful we will look at launching this into the UK as well, giving the members the choice of either printed or electronic membership."
  20. I like my paper copy, especially this month 😉, but I could be tempted to have the electronic only option if the subs were lower

Simple answer to why is that EU politicians use Apple phones etc, but don't go camping 😁

Effectively they told Apple do it or their products wouldn't be EU compatible. They recently, in the last month or so, got Apple to do an update to one of their phones because it wasn't within to emmissionjs regs, in France (maybe the whole of the EU) the phones had to be removed from sale until it was done. Amazing how quick it happened.

Nice idea but yet again another complexity to the whole issue. It only works when the car in question has the right sort of battery set up, at present manufacturers don't seem to have standardised their charging cables/sockets let alone the batteries and their accessibility. Take as a comparison chargers for mobile phones and other devices so many different connections, the EU is aiming to get them standardised so one charger cable fits all. The charging issue will get sorted out eventually I'm sure as the bean counters take control . . . .
  24. That's what I was going to say!

Or, reduce expenditure to the same extent. I know which option I'll bet on.
