  1. I don't think that strip is available anymore. My car had been de-seamed but i've put the seam back when i repaired the front of the roof, i think it looks better. The rust comes from the inside out, if repaired and sealed properly it won't rust. paul
  2. i'm in the same position at the moment, are the alloy wheel nuts listed above ok for the standard steel wheels as well ? i have used old fiesta nuts as a tempory option with some old wheels for now. cheers paul
  3. yes you're right but they are only a couple of quid each, the main thing is the line is the correct(or slightly longer) length. paul
  4. i recently bought a braided clutch line for my GT6, i'm going to buy another and use it as a bleed line as it's basically the same length line just with a bleed nipple.
  5. as far as i remember, in my gt6 it was over, as i remember thinking i'd have to put the wiring and heater box in first/second.
  6. Actually my original plate is all over the place, nothing is lined up! but it's a good tip, cheers.
  7. Hi all, Just thinking about re doing the body numbers etc on new plates, what would be the correct size punch set to get? or doesn't it really matter? cheers paul
  8. Thanks for the reply's, i'll start with the ballast and as Peter said , it can always be bypassed to fit an electronic ignition. cheers paul
  9. Ok, I know i'm going to open a can of worms here but it has to be asked. GT6 mk3 1972 I'm starting out with all new wiring and electrical componants, so do i go with a Ballast Resistor or just a Resistance Wire loom... Are there any advantages to either one? or dis-advantages? cheers paul
  10. thanks for all the reply's, i'll probably get my new loom from them. cheers paul
  11. I've always liked this idea, someone in America built this stand, if you can weld, it looks fairly simple to fab.
  12. Hi, Has anyone used Autosparks for a full wiring loom (gt6 mk3) and if so, how was it? Is it worth going this route rather than just buying a loom off one of the usual suppliers as you can add circuits such as an accessory socket etc cheers paul
