You need to take the bonnet off and lift the engine up and move the car back.you need to wiggle/adjust the engine as the car moves back. This means you only need to clear the front chassis rail. Graham

I found brazing on the sill where it joins the b post on my spitfire 1500, the joint was not welded but held in place by the brazing and the spot welds on the flanges. Graham

Will be easy to control speed of cars and limit them to the speed limits of the road, simply link the car controls to Google maps. My stat nav is always telling me I am over the speed limit when the road limit changes. We will be glad of our cars controlled by humans, even if we are an old version. Graham

I had a steel roof on a sectional garage and attach plastic sheeting to the roof supports. Left a gap for ventilation. Graham

In Nottingham we have "for hire" scooters and bike, both are a pain. They are limited to the city only so you see the left at the city boundary. It appears our A&E is busy patching up people who have fell off the scooters. In the county we just have private ones wizzing down the centre of roads without lights. One scooter I see must be travelling at 20mph at least, no helmet, etc ear plugs in. Graham

Having done both methods on a spitfire 1500 and GT6 by myself on my own, the easier method is to remove the engine and gearbox together. May be longer but easier on the your body. Being bent double wiggling the gearbox in a GT6 to push it back in through a hole that is slightly to small and wrong shape. Both methods work so choose which method suits you.Graham Graham

I have done both methods, removal/ replacement of gearbox through the car is hard work and hard on the body. The box is heavy and a tight fit when attaching the the engine. A lot easier to remove both together, this summer I removed the engine and gearbox to sort out an oil leak and at the same time repainted the bulk head, strip and paint the chassis and upgraded the suspension. If you can combine these job then remove engine and gearbox. Also fixing up the engine bay increases the value of the car and is a simple . Graham

I fitted a plastic tunnel to my GT6 which fitted well and used the original fittings, with screws /large washers to replace any missing fittings. The screw I purchased from a local fittings supplier. I would image that fibre glass tunnels may have uneven flanges due to the nature of there construction. I was impressed with fitting of the tunnel in the GT6. Graham

Hello Puglet1 No, I would be fitting them to a GT6, the intention was to remove the shock from being fitted to the wheel arch via bracket. Over time cracks can occur around these brackets in the wheel arch. Graham
