  1. As my 2500s is getting more to how it should be ! Has anyone got some recommendations to exhausts preferably stainless as mine looks horrible and someone took a hammer to one of the boxes in the past . Also the carpet has seen better days . The back where in the past water has sat particularly poor. In the past i have bought carpet on a rool and cut my own section. This i might still do but i would prefer a nice fitted one.
  2. I'm struggling to find an exhaust system that is not too loud? the baffles in the system I had for over 20 years fell apart. I replaced it with a straight through silencer and that was very loud I have just fitted a twin box system that is not quite as loud but very boomy especially at about 300 rpm. The engine has a high lift cam an 1.75 SU's. Has any one any suggestions to an exhaust that will be relatively quite but not sap power. The twin box system I have fitted does not have the resonator would fitting one help? Thanks David
  3. Hi - i am considering changing the original rear exhaust silencers on my Mk3 GT6, with the intention of increasing the level of noise. Has anybody got any good recommendations of where to go for this and suitable pricing? Thanks
  4. Looking for a cheap exhaust manifold stainless or mild steel as I'd probably have to heat wrap it anyway I know you can buy them new for around £200 or so but if I'm wrapping it I'm not bothered about it looking shiny and new so if anyone has one they're not using and wants rid let me know Thanks Dan

    Tow bar

Hi, I've got a twin exhaust fitted to my Vitesse 2L Mk1 and I'm looking to fit a towbar. Has anyone fitted a tow bar with a twin exhaust? Also would like the bar to attached to the main cross member at the rear not just the rear outriggers and without having to cut the rear valance. Would the club one do all three?
  6. Sadly the exhaust manifold on my GT6 Mk1 has a bad crack that's getting worse every day. I've been looking for a replacement for a while, but so far couldn't find the right one (they are all either badly rusted or cracked). At the moment, there are two on ebay, but they look different from the one on my car: Manifold 1 Manifold 2 Both of them seem to have the right part number (306483), but ports 2/3 and 4/5 are not fused like on mine; see e.g., this completed listing: Manifold 3 Are the non-fused one simply earlier/later ones and they have kept the part number, or are they "pattern parts" by a different company? Will both of them fit onto my engine? If you have one for sale, do let me know! Thanks! Christoph
  7. Have had to replace several of these because of cracks in recent years. My stock now very low, thinking of changing to stainless steel any one care to comment on the available items from the various suppliers. Just want to fit and forget, I have a standard stainless exhaust system. Many thanks. Paul
