Hi All, Saw this today and was wondering if also applies if your head has been adapted to unleaded ? I think it might be as the rest of the system is old style ie copper lines, fuel pump and steel tank etc. Any thoughts anyone ? E10 fuel to be sold at forecourts from 2021 can damage older carshttps://mol.im/a/8431219

Has anyone used a fuel preservative, successfully, over at least a six month period?

I just filled up the1500 spitfire I just bought on the way home as it was showing empty. Only took a fiver and it was full to the brim. Gauge is showing just under 1/2 full now even though it's full. Guy I bought it off says he's put in a new tank sender. Where do I start?

I’ve got an issue with the metal clips that secure both 3/16” brake & 5/16” fuel tubes to the chassis. They don’t suit the 3/16 tube! They are too small. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the only solution to use the plastic ones?

Anybody know how the drain tube fits to the GT6 mk3 fuel filler. I only have a boss (on the left in picture) with a plain, thru hole. Am I missing a fitting of sorts, perhaps a pressed-in steel tube? I have a rubber elbow (with nylon tube) for the breather to push onto the barbed fitting on the right, which is screwed in.

Is it beneficial to re-route the pipe from pump to carbs? Is it better to sheath the pipe with something reflective and heat-proof. All suggestions etc very welcome.

Please will someone post a picture of the route of the pipe from fuel pump back/down to the chassis. Does it go through the outrigger or between the bulkhead and the chassis?

Can someone post a picture of the fuel pipe route from tank outlet to the first clip on the side of the chassis, forward of the rear axle. In my picture, I’ve circled the floor hole and the first chassis clip, I’m ok with that bit, it’s the around/under/over? the driveshaft bit that I need guidance on. Also, will a Canley Classics cv conversion require a different route? I’ve added pic off Google, is the tank to first clip ahead of the axle a separate section?

I have noticed that there has been petrol leaking out of the petrol cap and running down the rear wing every time I have been cornering hard so I replaced the rubber cap in the actual petrol cap and this doesn't seem to have solved the issue although it has made it difficult to close the cap now, has anyone else experienced this? Could the spring part in the cap be damaged or bent in any way causing it to not seal? Should I source a replacement cap? Any help will be appreciated thanks

I have a 1980 Spitfire 1500, with a terrible smell of fuel in the boot, there are no leaks from the tank, but I have noticed that the vent tube on the top now only has a clip and no hose, should it be sealed or vented, if vented which is the best & safest way to do this?

Hi guys! I was just curious as to where the black wire (which is shown below in pics) goes to? I know it screws into the filler cap, but where does the other end go to?? And what is it for? Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers, Jim.

Hi All, I am restoring a Triumph GT6 MK3 and I am struggling a little with electrics, one problem I have is that of a yellow electrical device just below the petrol filler cap (I have attached pictures of it below). I wanted to know what his is? What it is used for? And mainly the locations of the wires? If someone could provide a picture of the wires attached to the device that would be perfect. Thanks! Jim.

Hi.. I have a 1500 Spitfire. The car failed its MOT as the CO emissions are too high. Unfortunately the garage I took it to is not able to tune the engine. Time is getting a little tight. Is there anyone who can help? A local MOT garage they can recommend? Thanks.
