  1. Anyone know what tonnage press I need to get the ball back into the socket on the rear view mirror? Joking of course but, bloody hell, how tight? I don’t want to break the (48 years old) glass so if anyone has a tip for this I’d be most grateful.
  2. Hello all, I’m after assistance again. Can I remove the rear spring of my rotoflex mk3 without disconnecting drive shafts from diff, brake hoses from chassis etc? I have a factory spec spring tool.
  3. My rear nearside flexible is somewhat tight /different to o/s. Is this union correctly mounted? Should the fixing be the other side of the vertical port, giving more room for the flexible to operate in?
  4. Could anyone lend me a GT6 rear seat shot-bolt latch to copy/re-manufacture. #27 in the attached image. I’ll be aiming to model it in 3D CAD, produce 3D prints of l/h and r/h and then try them out. Then get some made.
  5. Can someone post a picture of the fuel pipe route from tank outlet to the first clip on the side of the chassis, forward of the rear axle. In my picture, I’ve circled the floor hole and the first chassis clip, I’m ok with that bit, it’s the around/under/over? the driveshaft bit that I need guidance on. Also, will a Canley Classics cv conversion require a different route? I’ve added pic off Google, is the tank to first clip ahead of the axle a separate section?
  6. I have a Spitfire 1500 stripped to a bare chassis and have bought Gaz adjustable rear shocks from the club shop. Unfortunately I am a bit stumped about fitting them. The old shocks attach at the top to the end of the chassis rear tower with a very fat set screw, and at the bottom to the thinner attached set screw on the vertical link. The Gaz shocks however have a large bush hole at the top and a thin bush hole with metal sleeve at the bottom, that is too small for the vertical link set screw. That is assuming that they are mounted with the wording Gaz the right way up and the adjuster knob on the shocks at the bottom. If that is true, then the top would fit fine to the big set screw, but the bottom won't fit the vertical link set screw???????
