dougbgt6
Paul, I got that exact same one! A good buy and a useful tool. I still like my lighter-fuel powered one which doesn't have a trailing cable, but needs 5 minutely topping up. Swings and roundabouts! Colin Lindsay
I need good solder, some of the stuff you buy in shops these days is rubbish. Any pointers for good brands?

A lot of solder these days is lead-free and that makes it much harder to use than the old leaded stuff.

But you don't want to be sniffing the old stuff! That was actually pointed out to me at school when I first wanted to get into electronics. Josef
You don’t want to be sniffing any of it! Even without lead the flux is still pretty nasty.
RogerH
I use Multicore Lead solder from RS Components https://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/?searchTerm=Solder Works very well and available in different gauges. Roger
