daverclasper Posted September 6, 2022 Report Posted September 6, 2022 Mine are old and have never been brill. Had to use wipers today and seemed much worse (maybe skating over the rain drops). Car lives out side under a cover, though will have been baking in the heat a lot this year, so maybe the rubber has hardened even more. Will look at replacing, though don't want to avoid repro, crap rubber if poss. Any non greasy household applications, or non expensive stuff that could soften the rubber for a bit. Cheers
johny Posted September 6, 2022 Report Posted September 6, 2022 think you can change just the rubber Dave. Very cheap and even silicone rubber refills available on ebay - there was a post about it a while back...
Chris A Posted September 6, 2022 Report Posted September 6, 2022 I bought a batch of replacement rubbers of the bay a while ago that I cut to length when l replace the blades. Cheap and effective..
daverclasper Posted September 6, 2022 Author Report Posted September 6, 2022 Thanks guys. Will check it out, though I think my blades have a sort of lug at each end that is part of the rubber molding and securers them to the the carriers? (don't know correct name)
Chris A Posted September 6, 2022 Report Posted September 6, 2022 They do have a out but replacement blades have them and as long as one end firmly fixed there isn't any problem.
