control box

can anyone help me I have a 1964 vitesse 1600. The voltmeter reads 14 to 18 volts on the run which must be too high. Have bought a new control box, but cant find the original one. I must be going mad but I cant see anything that looks like a lucas rb 340 I have just bought. Where should I find it? Any help or photos that show it in position would be a great help!

Hello Frank.

 

if the layout is the same as the Mk2 Vitesse then it's hidden by the black cardboard on the passenger side.

 

You should find it bolted to the passenger inner wing when you pull the cardboard away which is held by clips.
