AlanT
Hi All. Please can I ask your advice? I'm selling my car and am not sure where to advertise it. You may recall that I've completed a super-comprehensive re-build of a 1980 Spitfire ( ). Just the paint cost £6K, never mind details all the way down to masses of panels, complete and correct interior, panels, mechanical parts. There is zero rust. The car is as clean underneath as it it is on top. The car is entirely 1980 standard overdrive aside from: Earlier rear bumper (I like the plinth light). Mintex brake pads. It's nice to be able to stop. GT6 door cards (I was offered a bargain!) There are tiny things that others may want to do: I didn't re-chrome the bumpers since this removes all patina and makes old cars just look 'wrong' to my eyes. I'd planned new door locks (one sticks). Boot, ignition and one door are all fine. The window adjustment is good, not perfect (the car was only used on dry days so this fell down the list). I haven't had chance to fiddle with it. The prop needs balancing. Not done as I can't get under the car anymore. I was just going to swap in a new one from Canleys (45 minutes with a ramp/stands). I've only completed around 800 dry miles since re-build. Obviously, this isn't your average Spit. It's a sorted car. I'm only selling because of a health issue of the sort you don't expect at 55. What are your thoughts? Thanks & best Alan
GFL
Why not try it on this Website? I also look for cars for sale on the CarandClassic website and on E-Bay. I sold my last classic via a Classified Advert on E-Bay which only cost £20 and a recent Vitesse I was hoping to view sold within 2 days via an E-Bay classified Advert Regards Gary
