CarlM
The club shop shows a recon GEU9405 starter motor. Does anyone know if this would fit a Herald 1360? Any pointers useful. Thanks
johny
The same starter was used on a lot of Triumph models but best to confirm with the vendor...
Colin Lindsay
The same one is sold for our cars right across the range and from a number of suppliers, so I can't think of any problems bar the orientation - I remember on the GT6 they had to be fitted upside down for clearance (so water ran in through the drain hole which should have been at the bottom) but I think with the extra room round the Herald engine, it should fit ok. The only problem with starters is the correct number of teeth on the pinion, we need 9 and many other popular cars have 10, so as long as that's correct the rest should be ok. AlanT
I bought a secondhand starter from Spitfire Graveyard. Cheap and excellent. And probably better than a lot of the new stuff.
