Herald front end vents, clips and filters in photo

Recommended Posts

In this photo ARE parts I cannot find or understand.

- Filter in the centre of the stip in front of the windscreen base

-Is that a vent above the bonnet clip on the side of the footwell?

- What does the cone fit against in the bonnet, I cannot see anything?

The vent under the windscreen originally had nothing in it at all, so yours may just be an empty slot. Later cars had a screw-in panel, and after that they had a factory-welded grille. If you want one, just find a suitable piece of grillework, cut to size and screw in.

As for the bonnet, if you have an early car the cone is on the bonnet and points downwards; later cars were reversed with the cone on the bulkhead pointing up.
