Maninthecornershop
Bear with me but I cannot get the Britax seatbelts fitted in my 13/60 Herald to adjust … is there a special trick to this ? The belts seem locked in to place and no amount of twisting / pulling or poking is shifting them. They are currently too long for me so I need to reduce the length of the receiving part of the buckle. Am I missing something ?
johny
If its the same as mine you have to tilt the buckle the opposite way to its normal wearing position ie so the straps come out towards the front of it instead of the back as in your photo. Then the belt should slide through the buckle to get the length you want....

johny
Yes its not very easy and you can see why they went to retracting technology😁
PeteH
Quite apart from getting tangled with/under the seat mechaism, or catching the feet of kid`s exiting the rear. Pete

johny
It is tempting to change them though and let someone else have the fun....
Pete Lewis
retractors in the small chassis cars can be over tightened with the bumpy ride and tension over you shoulder becomes a problem yes it lets you reach the ign key etc, but having tried both i would question if i would repeat the change luckily the 2000 has a decent ride which suits my older body Ha pete
