Carba1984
Good Morning, Good Morning, I have a problem with a connection of the manifold to the first exhaust section, do I also need to release the connection under the car to change the gasket? Should I also use mounting paste in this gasket?
Pete Lewis
not needed the paste will blow out and more leaks give the faces a good clean and fit it dry . Pete Edited July 27 by Pete Lewis
johny
I think you will need to undo the other fixing underneath to allow the flange to come away from the manifold studs. I would start spraying penetrating oil on them now to help releasing them later. You definitely dont want any studs snapping off😭 Afterwards make sure you have all the correct supports for the whole exhaust system as one of the reasons for the failure of that gasket is strain when the engine moves around while driving.
