Tid
I owned this car from 1985 to 1999 and drove it regularly. A two-tone green 1200 saloon, it became shabby but was still sound and drivable when I had to sell it. Is the current owner a member here? If so, I have the full early history of the car, with too many fascinating documents to list here. I'd love to see the history reunited with the car but I'd need to have a conversation with the owner. Please reply here and start a dialogue about it. Thank you. dougbgt6
Tid, You may be in luck, DVLA says it's taxed until May 2025, so it's still around. Doug Edited August 3 by dougbgt6
Tid
Wow, DVLA gives out that kind of information? If I'd known I'd have asked them myself! But thank you - let's hope the owner is a member here, or someone here knows them even if they're not.
dougbgt6
Tid, It's not much information, you used to be able to get a lot more, but "data security" etc prevents it. But here is the link, check your neighbours cars for Tax and MOT and grass them up! Get vehicle information from DVLA - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Your cars current MOT details are not shown, probably brcause the owner has declared it exempt. However looking at the MOT history it failed BADLY in 2019 after which it's not been re-MOT'd. Doug
Tid
Yeah, it passed in 2018 but failed in 2019. The current owner obviously hasn't maintained it very well, so very probably isn't a member here. I also note that - unless it's been interfered with - the mileage has gone 'round the clock'. I think that given all this information, I'd rather donate the history directly to the TSSC, if there's the ability to do that? A future owner could then retrieve it if they became a member. (By the way, those surely aren’t all your cars in your signature??) Edited August 4 by Tid
dougbgt6
3 hours ago, Tid said: (By the way, those surely aren’t all your cars in your signature??) Yup, every one! No, I'm the Area Organiser for TSSC East Berks and the cars below are the East Berks Massive, mine is the yellow one. Tid
Some very nice cars there, including a couple of great looking Vitesses (either of them the later 96bhp versions?) What do you think about donating my ex-Herald's history to TSSC, or should I contact them via email and ask them directly?
