Iain T
Another stunning VSCC event at Prescott. I only went for yesterday's practice. It's worth going just to walk around the members car park field. For me the very original Sunbeam support vehicle for the Barnato-Hassan Bentley was the star. I've never seen it before. The 5 litre straight 8 was huge! Some very nice Talbot and Alvis. The Bugatti looked straight from the multi million pound restoration. Apart from mine I only saw one other Triumph ☹️. My Vitesse performed perfectly with the nearly 300 mile round trip yesterday and was a very enjoyable blast round some country lanes on the way to the circuit. You can walk all around the 'paddock' hill and owners are more than happy to chat. Not all were expensive cars and the specials are sumfink else!! A open chassis with 1930 motor bike engines front AND rear......?? Driving there I knew I was getting close when Infront of me came a type 35 Bugatti hurtling round a country road bend spiritly followed by two 1920s Vauxhall's four up. Very disappointed never to have seen a 30s Dolomite or Continental there. Iain
mark powell
Excellent pictures! I will be going to the VSCC meet at Loton Park in September. I haven't been for 60 years since I used to cycle there from boarding school in Shrewsbury. An easy trip from North Wales. My memories included the GN Spider, which I believe is still competing? Iain T
There were a few GNs at Prescott. At VSCC meets you get all sorts of 4 and 3 wheels automobiles. In the members car park was a 3 wheeler with tiller steering. A brave person if it was driven to the event! Enjoy Loton and please post photos. I have an extreme 'want one' for a 20s Vauxhall or Sunbeam. Iain
