you must when the box is off check  the clutch withdrawl  arm screwed  tapered dowel pin is not sheared

worth a few minutes removing to see it is intact  these little sods break up and you loose clutch actions

rimmers sell a uprated version for a few ££s

Hi Pete,

Good shout, I took the pin out and it looks fine but I will change it when I fit the new clutch.

(ordered the up-rated Rimmers one so we'll see what its like).

Lots of interesting reading on Buckeye Triumph link, thanks.

its a good site to have abrowse   much can be used on so many other triumphs

keep it on your favourites tabs

i have come across this little sod on a few cars  ...the hidden gremlin on clutch travel lost

and if you dont have the extra hole to drift out the broken bit   ,,,,can be a real headache

some of the upgrade ideas are a bit thoughtful

the rimmers pin appears more spec in the steel than the standard

these types of threaded taper dowel are used in good few places  and can offer   ....  problems

Pete
