Spitfire 1500 complete exhaust

See if you have any local exhaust manufacturers, and ask for a quote. If you have an old exhaust they can use it as a template and you'll find they're often much cheaper than many suppliers. I needed a silencer box for my modern and found a local company who made one for £80, far below the quoted price of any of the suppliers. The biggest expense on exhausts these days is often the UK-spec cat which of course you don't need to worry about on a Spitfire, and the rest is simply bending steel pipes to suit, so for a company that makes them it's actually a simple operation.

That's a good idea, although my current exhaust is non standard and I'm looking to change it because it is too loud and too low.

When I had a Hyundai 4x4 (don't ask, a dreadful machine that I kept for two months then sold it back to the seller!!) I needed a replacement exhaust and took the vehicle to the exhaust manufacturer, they actually made it in front of me and kept offering up the pipes to the vehicle, marking and bending, until they were happy it was following the official route and not fouling anything. I didn't know them, just called in on spec, but have used them a few times since and would again.

That would be very useful. I will investigate locally 👍
