jeffc
Hello, I have managed to shear the two bolts holding the heater valve to the brass pipe fitting and the bracket. I have managed to extract the remnants of the bolts from the brass fitting. Could someone confirm the correct bolt size please? It measures as a No 10 (3/16” dia) and 1 inch long but I am not sure what the thread size is. The brass fitting is threaded and I am guessing it is a UNF? Unfortunately Canley, Rimmers etc do not show this bolt on their web sites. thanks jeff
Josef
Pretty sure this must be a Spitfire? Also pretty sure they’re 10-32 UNF if that’s the case. Canley’s do list the nuts as no 10s https://www.canleyclassics.com/?diagram=triumph-spitfire-mkiii-heater-and-demister-details&ptno=560611
jeffc
Josef, thanks. Looked again at the Canley site and they have links to the Standard Triumph Hardware Catalog where it says HN2005 it is a No 10 UNF nut. useful link to have discovered!
