Steve P
I was told a story two weeks ago by a work colleague. His daughters partner works for his father, who has 2 GT6`s. One evening while having a meal with him before the 2 youngsters go travelling he told him the story. One evening perusing E bay whilst well lubricated, he came across a GT6 MK 1 project for sale in Devon. It had been in a barn for over 30 years. He put a starting bid of £500 on it and went to bed. Next morning he got the mail saying he won it and arranged collection with the elderly lady owner. When he arrived she told him her and her late husband had owned it from new and had bought it off the stand at the Earls Court show after the launch. He thinks it is Number 1. Another on of the 5?. Colin Lindsay
That's a stunningly beautiful car. Not for me though, I'd scratch it. Wonder which one this is, commission number or body number?
GFL
There is some discussion about the car on the TSSC Facebook pages, it was previously owned and restored by a Dennis Benson apparently at considerable cost. That is a name I do recognise from the past and it would seem he's into Motorbikes now not cars from the Facebook posts, I'm not sure if he accesses this site though. Graham C
A really beautiful car, too much money for me. If I did have it also too scared to drive as scared of scratching it. Good luck to whoever buys it. Graham
mpbarrett
if it has been rebodied is it now just a replica of the original show car? Lots of money for a replica.... Usual problem once you have what do you do with it? mike
