Recommended Posts

Don't forget the Club's 2024 AGM will take place on Sunday 22 September at TSSC HQ in Lubenham.  Commencing 1pm.  Also on Zoom - Login details on the flyer with the September Courier.  All paid up members will be welcome but note only members attending the AGM in person may vote.

Club Accounts also on the flyer included with September Courier.

The AGM will as usual be preceded by the AO seminar at 10.30 am.

Interesting AGM with lots of discussion about the shop with Chris explaining the situation. Hopefully the COM will keep the shop going in one way or another.

The shop make the difference between the TSSC and other clubs.

Seems as if people contact the club for technical questions which means the staff are spending the time on phone calls, need to use the forum for those questions that's why we have the forum and excellent people providing advice.

Hi Graham C and all - a very positive AGM yesterday. Good to 'meet' some members including Graham via Zoom, John D in person and to have a good number of members attend the AGM in person.  Look out for the Minutes soon on the website.  COM will be working to find a way forward with the Club Shop which we all acknowledge is a special part of the Club, but cannot be allowed to lose money at the rate is has been recently.  So many factors, including the easy availablity at the moment of spares via the internet.  Quality of course is another matter!   No decisions at the moment, and in the meantime the Club Shop has to remain closed.

Remember that the Club is mainly run by VOLUNTEERS on COM, all of whose time is limited as all have jobs too.

One big decision which I am sure will be welcomed, is that paid-up members 'attending' the AGM via Zoom will in future be allowed to vote as at present voting is confined to those attending in person.  Not sure how yet, but this is a result of ideas presented by those attending.

As always, the COM is looking for committed people to swell their ranks, and if interested, please contact Chris Gunby via the usual channels.
